Especially since her castmates from the groundbreaking show had nothing but praises for her throughout the years. However, a recent report suggests that all might not be as rosy as previously pictured.
One of Vergara’s Modern Family co-stars made an allegation against the actress that has shocked quite a lot of fans. That, combined with the heckling fiasco during this year’s Golden Globe Awards, has people scrutinizing Sofia Vergara in a new light.

Modern Family had rightfully been one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. With 11 Seasons in its bag, the show not only won multiple Emmys, but also made its cast members a household name all over the world.
Sofia Vergara’s Gloria, as the face of the series, had obviously established herself as one of the best comic actors on TV. Moreover, her kindness has also been just as much a part of the reason the audience has grown affectionate toward the Griselda star.
However, one of her Modern Family co-stars had a different story to tell. RuPaul’s Drag Race famed Kelly Mantle appeared in an episode of the sitcom back in 2019 as a guest.
The actress revealed during her appearance in Trixie and Katya’s The Bald and the Beautiful podcast, that her time on the show’s set was less than pleasing, and the reason was Vergara, whom she claimed is the “rudest celebrity” she had ever encountered.
It was not the most pleasant experience I’ve ever experienced. It wasn’t toward me. It was the way that some of her staff were being treated.
Mantle narrated that the fiasco started with a wig Vergara had to wear in that particular episode. While the staff kept urging her to let them out bobby pins on that wig to secure it, Vergara kept saying no. Things allegedly took a turn for the worse when the cameras started rolling.
They yell action, and I’m supposed to put the crown on her hair. So I put the crown on, and then they say cut, and she’s like, ‘Watch out for the wig! You’re putting the crown on my head!’
While Kelly Mantle found this to be baffling, she was willing to give the America’s Got Talent judge the benefit of the doubt. She stated that Vergara’s rude behavior might have stemmed from having a terrible day.
Maybe it was a bad day. I’m just going to say it was a bad day.
At any rate, Kelly Mantle noted that she loves Sofia Vergara and finds her “hilarious, and beautiful, and talented, and gorgeous,” and doesn’t hold it against her.
Moreover, as an actress herself, she understands how stressful the job can be sometimes, and commends the 52-year-old actress for braving the industry for so long.

While Foster marked her victory in the prestigious Award show, Vergara marked her fifth defeat after being nominated.
Interestingly, she had no qualms about making her opinion known as she made a funny Instagram post soon after Foster accepted her award stating “They stole it from me”.

This time, Sofia Vergara piled on her dramatics just before Jodie Foster began her acceptance speech. The actress could be heard shouting from the audience,
No, no! Not again! Give me one!
Foster, for her part, took the joke in stride and acknowledged her fellow nominee in her speech, saying that the best thing about “being in this time is a community of all these people, especially you, Sofia”.
In any case, even though the interaction raised some eyebrows, most people found the interaction to be hilarious. Kelly Mantle’s comment, too, didn’t create much of a frenzy among netizens for the most part.
