“Did you remember to buy the default skin too?”: Blizzard Knows About Ashe’s Mythic Weapon Skin Bug But Fixing It Was Probably Optional

We all can agree that Blizzard has been upping the skin game in Overwatch 2 since it debuted the Mythic line. This gave gamers more special effects and customization options. Last year, Blizzard went further and even brought stand-alone Mythic weapons to the game with Season 11.

A few weeks ago, Ashe mains in the hero-shooter got their hands on the Mythic Lead Rose weapon skin for the hero. It transformed Ashe’s signature Viper rifle into a gothic-looking weapon. While it’s an incredible weapon, there’s a certain bug with it that’s causing frustration for players. What’s shocking is that Blizzard knows about and yet hasn’t brought in fixes.

Gamers can’t remove Ashe’s mythic weapon in Overwatch 2

Over on Overwatch 2‘s official subreddit, user moo_moo has highlighted an issue with Ashe’s Lead Rose weapon skin. For some reason, the Blizzard hero-shooter doesn’t allow gamers to unequip the weapon skin.

There’s no denying the fact that Lead Rose is quite a fantastic skin. However, that doesn’t mean that gamers would always want to roll with the skin in their matches. Sometimes, we all prefer the classic default weapon skins, but the option to switch over to that is missing, thanks to this bug.

A number of Ashe mains have stated that they’re also dealing with the same bug and even warning others to take caution before playing with Lead Rose weapon skin.

It’s not as if Blizzard doesn’t know about this issue. The company has acknowledged the existence of this bug but still hasn’t shared any updates regarding when a potential fix could arrive.

This bug might not seem like a huge issue, but Blizzard must address these small things as soon as possible. Otherwise, gamers would lose their trust in the company and wouldn’t mind flocking over to its biggest rival right now.

Blizzard needs to address this one problem in its hero shooter

The brand-new Season 15 has brought tons of exciting things for Overwatch 2. Loot boxes are back, there’s a new mythic Zenyatta skin, and map voting is right around the corner. However, this doesn’t mean that the hero-shooter is out of trouble; it still needs to address some concerns, one of which is one-shot abilities.

Ever since the release of the one-shot mechanics in the franchise, it has always been despised. Seriously, playing against Widowmaker and Hanzo feels painful. The one-shot abilities of these characters can make any game feel unfair.

Throughout the years, gamers have always complained about one-shots. However, with the arrival of Season 15, these outrages have only gotten worse. Blizzard really needs to address one-shots and create a balance. The company needs to change certain heroes and remove their abilities to shut down other heroes immediately.

With the arrival of hero-bans in Season 16, the one-shot problem might finally have a solution. It won’t remove one-shot heroes but allows gamers to ban them from matches if everyone is in favor.

However, if hero-bans don’t solve the issue of one-shots, Overwatch might have to pull some strings and find new ways to bring the situation under control.

With that said, have you also dealt with Ashe’s mythic skin bug? Let us know in the comments below.
