The latest update from Uefa HQ in Switzerland relates to games at the end of the league phases in both the Champions League and Europa League.

And the Hoops match with Young Boys at Celtic Park on January 22 has seen £30,000-worth of fines dished out.

Celtic have been punished for fans ‘blocking public passageways’ – a safety breach resulting in a €16,000 fine.

Their opponents were also hit with a €20,250 sanction for their fans using pyro in the ground.

Rangers’ home game with Union Saint-Gilloise a week later also fell foul of the authorities.

Gers have been given a slap on the wrist and a formal warning over the ‘improper conduct of the team,’ during the match, which sealed their spot in the last 16 of the competition.
