A MAN has been stabbed in a B&M store in front of horrified shoppers as cops make an arrest.
Officers were called at 12.30 today to the retailer in Preston after reports of an assault.
A man in his 40s suffered a stab wound to his leg and was rushed to hospital by emergency services.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery and a “significant police presence” remains in the area.
Detectives say it is “not being treated as a terror-related incident.”
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: “You may have seen a significant police presence in Preston city centre this afternoon and we wanted to tell you why.
“At 12.37pm we were called to B and M Bargains in Carlisle Street following reports of an assault.“
