ACTOR James Nesbitt has been spotted covered in blood as he filmed dramatic new scenes for Netflix.
The Cold Feet actor is starring in the latest Harlan Coben drama for Netflix, called Run Away which will air later this year.

James is taking the lead role in Harlan Coben’s Run Away, which sees him star with Ruth Jones and Minnie Driver[/caption]
James Nesbitt stars alongside Gavin and Stacey‘s Ruth Jones as well as Minnie Driver in the new drama, which is currently being filmed in Greater Manchester.
Other star names confirmed in the cast include ex-EastEnder Tracy-Ann Obermann, Vera star Joe McGann and The Critic’s Alfred Enoch.
Run Away follows the story of Simon whose seemingly perfect life “falls apart” when his teenage daughter runs away, but in his search to find her, he uncovers lots of dark secrets.
Nesbitt’s character Simon Greene is determined to find answers, but along the way he runs into trouble.
Simon’s wife Ingrid Greene is being played by Oscar-winning actress Minnie Driver, while Ruth Jones will take the role of Elena Ravenscroft.
The latest scenes saw a worried looking James covered in red blood splatter as he stood over an ambulance stretcher, which Minnie Driver’s character appeared to be strapped to.
The scenes, filmed in Manchester’s Dukinfield, saw the pair in a dramatic scene with a paramedic rescue.
Once the cameras stopped rolling, Minnie and James were both all smiles as they appeared to be wrapped up in warm coats against the Manchester weather.
Previous filming has seen the drama in other locations across the North West, including Saddleworth Moor, Kirklees and Oldham.
Run Away is the latest in a long line of dramas by Harlan Coben, with previous hits including Missing You, Fool Me Once and The Stranger.
James has starred in previous Harlan Coben dramas including Missing You as he sinister Calligan.
He also held the main character role in 2023’s Staying Close which saw him as a murder detective uncovering a historical crime.
Coben has previously spoken out in high praise for James, and claimed he’s perfect for the role.
Speaking to Netflix’s Tudum, he said: “Jimmy just has so much range. He’s so natural and authentic at all times.”
He added: “He’s an empathetic actor in the sense that he feels, and then you feel for him.”
