Forgotten ex-Celtic star returns to first club 17 YEARS on from his debut as he completes 22nd transfer move of career

NOT many footballers can say they’re as well-travelled as this former Celtic striker.

He’s probably racked up more air miles than some travel writers who catch planes for a living.

From Serbia to Italy, Belgium to Israel, then back in Serbia before heading to Spain.

That’s before he even stepped foot in Scotland for the first time to join Celtic 11 years ago.

Stefan Scepovic was on the move yet again this week – for the 22nd time of his career.

The Serbian forward has never been afraid to try something new and pack his bags to travel the globe.

But this time he’s slumped for more familiar surroundings and has joined the club where he made his professional debut 17 years ago.

Now 35, Scepovic is back at his first ever club, OFK Belgrade.

It’s where his career all began in first team football and it was also the club he scored his first senior goal at too.

He left after two years to seal a big-money move to Club Brugge and he’s been touring the world ever since.

Now the towering striker has made his long-awaited return to the Serbian capital club after being announced as their latest signing this week.

He could be in line to make his second debut for the side when they face IMT in the league tomorrow night.

The move comes less than two weeks after he was released from his previous club PAS Giannina, a club he only joined last summer.

He scored five goals in 16 appearances in Greece and is now seen as a marquee signing for his new – and old – club.

Scepovic spent two years in Glasgow with the Hoops after Ronny Deila spent £2.3million to sign him in 2014.

It was a rather forgettable spell for the striker in Scotland as he netted just six goals in 24 appearances and spent his second season at the club on loan in Spain with Getafe.

He eventually joined the Spanish outfit in a permanent move the following summer.
