Sung Jinwoo Maybe the Strongest, but There’s 1 Isekai Anime That Rivals the Drip of ‘Solo Leveling’ in its Best Fight Scene

Solo Leveling has become the new talk of the town and for all the good reasons! Sung Jinwoo’s character itself is so cool that he ended up becoming one of the strongest and most beloved MCs in all anime.

Now while everyone’s waiting for the next episode of Solo Leveling and wishing to see Jinwoo again, to spoil the party a bit, here’s an info that Solo Leveling fans might not want to hear.

It may sound harsh, but even with his undeniable awesomeness, Jinwoo’s drip sense falls slightly short when compared to another anime (isekai) featuring an overpowered MC. It is The Eminence in Shadow we are talking about! While Jinwoo is still an amazing character, Cid from The Eminence in Shadow is just on a whole different level of coolness!

What Eminence in Shadow does better than Solo Leveling

So what is there that sets The Eminence in Shadow apart from Solo Leveling, knowing that EiS’ popularity is nowhere near SL? For those who are not familiar with it, Eminence in Shadow has an overall cooler vibe going on.

It is true that both shows have several characters with insane styles, but when it comes to the main protagonists, Cid from The Eminence in Shadow just hits differently.

This doesn’t anyhow mean that Jinwoo’s outfit is any less cool; its charm lies in its simplicity, but from a fashion perspective, Cid easily takes the W. His drip is just more polished and refined, and this below-mentioned fight scene further solidifies Cid’s status as the fashion king as an overpowered MC.

Spoiler Alert !!!
Spoilers from Eminence in Shadow anime

The Eminence in Shadow gave us probably one of the sickest fight scenes ever

This has to be one of the most badass fight sequences to ever be aired on Television. The battle itself was insane on so many levels; the atmosphere, the sound effects, the choreography, and last but not least it also showcased how ridiculously cool Cid’s outfit looks. In fact, the fight also had an absurd level of intellectual depth.

probably one of the coldest moments in anime (The Eminence in Shadow)

Beatrix, being an experienced swordsman, was constantly trying to read Cid’s body language and micro-movements to anticipate his next move. But Cid himself knows he is the main character of the series.

So he quite naturally faked these micro-movements and completely threw Beatrix off-guard. The whole scene was shown from her perspective, and it was wild to see her mind getting tricked by Cid’s clever tactics. Now take note, he did all this while wearing his sick outfit!

Surprisingly, many people might have slept on The Eminence in Shadow anime, thinking it’s just another isekai with overused power fantasy tropes. But little do they know, this show takes those tropes and makes them look ridiculously cool, like nothing you’ve ever seen before. So it’s definitely worth checking out!

Eminence in Shadow is available to watch on Hulu and Netflix.
