BARRY FERGUSON has been speaking to the media for the first time since his stunning appointment as Rangers interim boss.

And as he met the media for the first time at Auchenhowie, he opened up on various issues – including setting his sights on winning EVERY game that his side take part in.
With two Old Firm clashes against Celtic to come before the end of the season, that’s quite an arduous task.
And that’s before you even think about Europa League action.
Additionally, he’s revealed that James Tavernier WILL stay as captain after a heart-to-heart with the Englishman.
On the captaincy, he said: “I don’t think there was any need to change. I had a good chat with James last night.
“He came in while we were in.
“Obviously it’s taken some getting to know some of the staff and some of the surroundings.
“I know I have been here plenty of times but there’s been a few changes.
“It was good to get a good sit down with him. I spoke to him. I looked him in the eyes and I have no doubt he will give me 100% to lead this club until the end of the season.”
On his demands for the season, Ferguson is quite simple: win EVERY game.
It’s unclear precisely if he’s classing Europa League fixtures, with a tough looking tie against Fenerbahce on the horizon in here, but two clashes against Celtic will be tricky enough. – not to mention a tricky first assignment right off the bat on the artificial surface of Kilmarnock tomorrow night.
He said: “We have got eleven weeks to go. We’ve got a number of games, albeit we are still in the Europa League.
“We have to make sure we’re positive and we win every single game.
That’s a big ask I know that. But I need that positive about the place.
“They know the demands I put on them and that has to start tomorrow night against Kilmarnock.”
Ferguson was coy on his long term future at the club – but win all those matches and he and his coaching team of Billy Dodds, Neil McCann, Allan McGregor and Issane Charai will surely have one.
“Judge me at the end of the three months. Everybody is entirely to their opinion.
“I’m not taking this lightly, I’m taking this seriously. I would rather be judged at the end of the season but I know I will be judged game by game – this is the nature of the beast at Glasgow Rangers.”
And what changes can Rangers fans expect? Well, Ferguson is keeping that close to his chest.
“You’ll see that tomorrow night. that will be kept privately. You can ask me that when you come here on Friday.”
