‘Poor me’ Meg is getting ‘a taste of her own medicine’ after years spent slamming royals, expert slams

MEGHAN Markle is happy to “dish it out but can’t take it” – just as she did to the Royal Family, an expert has slammed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has been accused of bullying several staff members “out of the royal household” by an ex-senior former aide.

In a bombshell TV interview Jason Knauf said he has “no regrets” after raising concerns about the former royal in an internal email.

Mr Knauf, who previously worked for Prince William and Princess Kate for seven years, told 60 Minutes Australia about the message he sent in 2018.

It was leaked three years later ahead of Meg and Prince Harry’s controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan strongly denied the allegation with her team branding them as part of a smear campaign.

But the Sussexes have cashed in on shamelessly trashing the Royal Family since quitting the UK in 2020.

Meanwhile the Firm have not been able to publicly hit back at the vile allegations.

Harry claimed in his 2023 book Spare that Prince William physically pushed him to the ground.

Meghan accused the Royal Family of having a serious negative impact on her mental health in their 2022 Netflix docuseries.

The couple jointly alleged there had been racist remarks made about the then-unborn Prince Archie during their sensational Oprah interview in 2021.

When asked if the Duchess was now receiving a taste of her own medicine, royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Sun: ” Yes, and I think Meghan was always extremely difficult with staff.

“I just don’t think she had any idea how to treat them.

“I know from the very, very beginning, even back in the days when they were organizing her wedding, there was several people that tried to get a deal to do the flowers.

“They all each had to make a presentation and I understand that Megan was just very dismissive and actually unpleasant.

“I think she doesn’t know how to behave like an English lady… she doesn’t know how to treat people.”

The expert added how she thought Meghan “never had a clue” and believed her staff could be won over by “ice-cream” and gifts after their alleged poor treatment.

Ms Seward also touched on Meghan’s definition of “bullying” and claimed the Duchess has a different view to most.

This is not the first time the Duchess has made headlines for allegedly bullying staff – and being difficult to work with.

Their Chief of Staff, Josh Kettler, threw in the towel after just three months ahead of the controversial Colombia tour last year.

It marked a long string of resignations under Harry and Meghan’s employ with 18 staff members leaving since their marriage in 2018.

Prince Harry’s charity chief Dominic Reid quit his role as chief executive of the Invictus Games Foundation in July last year.

While Bennett Levine, their manager of Archewell Productions, left earlier in 2024.

And the Oscar-nominated producer Ben Browning quit as head of internal content at the company in January 2023.

The royal expert shared her professional thoughts on what allegedly makes Meghan difficult to work for.

Ms Seward said: “She wants everything now. She’s not used to waiting, and that is incredibly difficult and stressful to work with someone like that, because you might be in the middle of doing something, and then they want something else.

“So it is a form of bullying. Certainly. I think Megan’s very, very happy to to dish things out, and then, if she feels if she’s gone far, she’ll try and make make it up.

“But she doesn’t like it being done to her. She sort of says, ‘oh, poor me’, if somebody comes back to her and admonishes her in any way she crumbles.

“She doesn’t like it, so she can dish it, but she can’t get it back. She’s not very good at receiving it.”

Sussex staff resignations

By Robert Jobson

AN ASTONISHING 18 members of staff have quit working for them in just a few years — nine since they moved to Montecito, California.

In late 2018, Meghan’s personal assistant Melissa Toubati quit.

It also emerged senior communications secretary Katrina McKeever left the Press team the same month.

Not long after, private secretary Samantha Cohen resigned.

In January 2019 Meghan’s female bodyguard of six months, who has never been named for security reasons, also quit.

By March, senior communications secretary Jason Knauf jumped ship and went to work for Prince William and Kate’s Royal Foundation.

Meghan also went through three nannies in just six weeks after baby son Archie was born in May 2019.

Harry and Meghan’s PR chief Sarah Latham left the couple after they quit the UK in 2020.

Meghan parted ways with talent agent Nick Collins, of The Gersh Agency, who was with her since she was a struggling actress.

And her close friend Keleigh Thomas-Morgan, a partner at Hollywood PR firm Sunshine Sachs, split from Meghan after the couple moved to the US.

The Sussexes recruited Toya Holness, former communications chief for New York City Department of Education, but she lasted 18 months and left shortly after the Invictus Games in 2022.

Just a year after their Megxit dash, Catherine St-Laurent was ousted as chief executive of their charitable foundation Archewell.

Meanwhile, Mandana Dayani, who was made president of Archewell, stepped down after less than 18 months in her role.

Oscar-nominated film producer Ben Browning was named head of content at Archewell in March 2021.

The foundation was supposed to be producing documentaries and podcasts.

But podcast Archetypes was dropped by Spotify and he left in January 2023.

Two months earlier, Rebecca Sanares left her role as head of audio at Archewell.

This comes after Mr Knauf defended his own actions in the 60 Minutes Australia interview.

Referring to the attention he received at the time, Mr Knauf said: “I think it, it’s tough, but it’s probably quite good.

“You know someone who has been helping other people through how to deal with the public eye.

“You probably had to take your own medicine sometimes.”

He continued: “You can’t choose just to take the fun stuff in any job.

“And that applies to the Prince and Princess as well as everyone else working for them. So I wouldn’t change anything.”

Mr Knauf doubled down on whether he had any regrets saying “no” and adding in such a role you have to “take everything that comes with it”.

And despite the scandal, he went on to speak warmly of Meghan and Harry saying he had “lots of great times” with the pair while working closely with them, including on their wedding.

The former senior aide also spoke of his time working for Prince William and Princess Kate.

He told of Wills’ devastating phone call after his wife and King Charles were diagnosed with cancer just weeks apart.

And Mr Knauf revealed how a major mishap occurred around the announcement for Princess Charlotte’s birth.

The ex-staff member accidentally lost the confidential details of the birth.

Ms Seward added “I think that Jason giving an interview to 60 Minutes was very brave and he was very contained and very, very careful what he said.

“I think his explanation of William’s grief and horror at discovering that not only his wife, but his father, had cancer and everything was coming on his shoulders, because when somebody has a life threatening disease, you do always think the worst, however strong you are.

“I think that Jason conveyed that very, very well, and it’s a difficult thing to be questioned about.

“He also was very careful what he said about Megan because he’s got nothing to gain from upsetting her at this moment in time.

“But of course it’s brought the whole story back, you know, back in into the sort of main mainstream once again.”

Meghan Markle is on brink of failure – it was CRAZY decision to snub Suits…

By Matt Wilkinson and Summer Raemason

MEGHAN Markle’s decision to snub a potential Suits reboot was crazy, an expert has claimed – as her brand-new company also teeters on the brink of “failure”.

This week, the Duchess became caught up in another plagiarism row, with a New York clothing line claiming she had stolen the “As Ever” brand name.

Amid widespread criticism, royal correspondent Jack Royston believes that rejoining the hit Netflix show would have helped Meghan restore her name in America – a feat which her current Netflix deal has been unable to achieve.

He told Matt Wilkinson on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show: “I have to say, I still cannot make out for the life of me why she didn’t do a Suits reboot.

“Acting is what first forged a relationship between Meghan and the American people.

“Suits has had an absolutely wild run recently that nobody saw coming.

“It’s been so successful and loved. Again, I cannot work out for the life of me why she didn’t just do a Suits relaunch.”

“It’s a crazy decision.”

“She’d barely need to be in it. She could do a few scenes here and there and that would make the relaunch of the show.

“So it’s madness to me that she didn’t just do what she’s good at, what she’s known for.

“It’s quick win, and it would have been fantastic. But yeah, for some reason she doesn’t want to.”

The royal experts also discussed the latest “plagiarism” rows that have scunnered Meg’s As Ever announcement.

Since sharing her video to fans on Instagram earlier this week, two small business owners and the mayor of Majorca have slammed the Duchess.

She came under fire for her choice of logo, which bore a striking resemblance to the Porrores coat of arms.

The former actress was then called out by a New York based clothing company owner and a photographer in Arizona for using the same name – As Ever,

Mr Royston added that Meghan’s recent debacle with the Spanish town was “embarrassing”, but the New York issue was a greater one.

“You can rebrand once and people are like, okay, this is a bit awkward. But if you rebrand twice, it’s just going to look like a failure,” he said.

“And this is actually a window for her where she could actually finally launch something that is successful, that Americans want to buy.

“It’s an important moment for Meghan and one she’ll want to get right.”
