It’s a known fact that Breaking Bad is one of the best TV dramas of the 21st century. With its 5 seasons and 62 episodes, the series tells us a story of a family conflict, witted lawyers, and compelling criminals. Seriously, its characters have left a mark on the entertainment industry.

Despite the success of Breaking Bad, the series still hasn’t dived into the gaming world. This is quite shocking, as smash-hit series/movies often try to spin off into games to capitalize on the hype and give fans something new. If Breaking Bad ever decides to give a shot to a video game series, it must be taken on by the same developer who worked on The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones titles.
Telltale Games can deliver a fantastic Breaking Bad game

We could say that if it wasn’t for Telltale Games, we would’ve never had point-and-click adventure games back into fashion for modern audiences. Over the years, with a number of smash-hits, the developer has proven time and time again that it’s a master when it comes to blending visual novels, interactive movies, and old game mechanics.
Telltale Game successfully adapted The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones into the video-gaming world. Seriously, no other developer could’ve taken on these projects. With their signature storytelling style, Telltale Games can also add a Breaking Bad game to its catalog.
As the developer can make every decision one takes in its video game feel serious, which not only shapes the story but all the characters, we could see a Breaking Bad game where Telltale can explore the moral grey area of Walter White’s descent from a humble chemistry teacher to a drug overlord.
The game could allow players to control Walter himself and make all the hard choices, whether he leans more towards protecting his family or embracing his inner evil, Heisenberg. If the developer wants to bring its own twist, there could also be an original in-game character, a DEA agent, or a drug dealer who could give gamers another perspective of the drama that unfolds in the series.
Beyond just featuring narrative choices, Telltale could bring all the negotiations, heights, and police chases that made Breaking Bad so memorable with the help of its signature quick-time events. It’s the only studio that can create a Breaking Bad title that does justice to the series.
What’s coming next from Telltale Games?

Considering the fact that Telltale has been responsible for some of the most iconic titles in the industry, it’s quite shocking that the developer hasn’t pushed many titles in recent years. If you’re wondering if the developer is bringing any new games in 2025, there’s some good news.
Currently, it’s confirmed that Telltale is working on The Wolf Among Us 2. It’s a sequel to 2013’s The Wolf Among Us and takes place in a crime-infested New York City that’s been infested by fairy tale characters. Gamers must assume the role of Bigby Wolf and solve murder mysteries, which eventually leads to a bigger conspiracy.
What’s interesting is that Telltale announced a sequel for the game back in 2017, but due to a number of delays, including the studio’s own temporary closure, The Wolf Among 2‘s release window was pushed back. However, it’s confirmed that the game hasn’t been canceled, and it will drop sometime in 2025.
