‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Star Amanda Halterman Shows Off Body Transformation

Amanda Halterman is ready to show off her new physique as her weight-loss journey continues.

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star, 44, posted a couple of photos of herself getting her nails done via Instagram on Monday, March 17 — and she was all smiles as she posed for the camera.

“@leonardemoore had such great time hanging out with the kiddos and getting pampered. ❤ thank you 💋💋,” she wrote in the caption, shouting out her boyfriend, Leonard Moore.

Halterman and Moore hard-launched their relationship in January following her split from ex-boyfriend, RJ. She was previously married to ex-husband Jason Halterman for 22 years before they divorced in 2020. They share four sons.

Halterman made her first appearance on the TLC show in season 4. The older sister of series stars Amy and Tammy Slaton, Amanda underwent bariatric surgery in March 2023 and has since lost more than 300 pounds.

Naturally, fans in the comments couldn’t get enough of her transformation.

“Well let’s see the nails girl! Don’t leave us hanging! Also you look fabulous!” wrote one fan.

“So very happy for you. I support you always.❤” another added.

Halterman’s post comes five days after she opened up about her struggles with self-confidence, crediting Moore for helping her along the way.

“I know what it’s like to struggle with self-confidence,” she wrote in the March 15 Instagram post. “Mellow reminds me every day of how he sees me through his eyes, and it helps so much.”

“Do you ever find it hard to see yourself the way others do?” she continued. “Or maybe it’s tough to fully accept the compliments you get?”

“I’m learning to love myself enough to accept both the compliments and the constructive criticism, and I can feel myself growing into the person I’m meant to be. I hope you’re finding that too! ❤

Again, she received plenty of support from her fans, who appreciated her vulnerability.

“It’s a hard thing to rewire our brain from being so hard on ourselves,” wrote one commenter. “Especially when you have these people out here criticizing. You’re doing and looking great. Inside and out!”

Other fans expressed their best wishes for Amanda’s health after she spent three days in the hospital earlier this year, stemming from a COVID-19 diagnosis.

She shared a positive update via TikTok in February.

“I’ve got the heart monitor off. I feel so much better,” she said at the time. “I don’t have any answers as far as what happened, but I’m definitely taking care of myself.”
