Netflix deliberately scheduled its biggest release of the month in the first week of June, and the result was spectacular if predictable.
Ginny & Georgia season 3 is Netflix’s most popular show of last week by a long shot, and if history is any indication, it will continue to rule the charts for the rest of the month.
It wasn’t all about mothers, daughters and murder on the streamer, however. Another hit show, Tires, returned for season 2, and the Shane Gillis series was the most-watched comedy on Netflix.
Joining them was an acquired series from TNT, Animal Kingdom, which stars Ellen Barkin as the matriarch of a close-knit family of criminals in sunny California.
